I got a little over-excited about the gifts I bought Brad for Father's Day, so he received his gifts a week ago. Hey, what can I say? I like to celebrate Father's Day every day. Well, no, I'm not that good, but my presents were!Nathan bought him the entire Karate Kid DVD set. Brad is a big 80s movie fan. I think it's his own special way to embrace him sentimentality.
Kaeley gave him the photo that's posted. I sat in to represent Alynna.
Alynna gave him a new Willow Tree figurine. We all have a figurine that represents us. The first statue is of a husband and wife admiring a new baby. We got that one from my mom-in-law when we were expecting Kaeley. Faith has an angel holding a baby in her arms. Nathan is a little boy holding a balloon that says "Hope" in a victory pose. Now Alynna is a young girl throwing her head back, enjoying nature and the outdoors, and it's entitled "Happiness".
Yesterday we gave him our cards, went to church, and then had a delicious (and messy, loud) lunch at one of our favorite places: Poquito Mas.
Thanks, Brad, for being the great role model that you are to our children. Your patience and silliness with them is always an inspiration to me to become a better mom. We love you!
