Again?!?

I don't eat perfectly. I'll give into my sweet tooth or burger craving, but I don't usually go crazy. I think I'm pretty balanced. I eat fruits and vegetables. I take my daily vitamins. I drink one soda a day on average and make sure the rest of my liquid is water. On the other hand, my darling husband averages about three to five sodas a day at least. His idea of fruits and vegetables is a green apple and some iceberg lettuce with ranch dressing. The only time he gets his daily vitamins is when he goes to Jamba Juice and orders the free vitamin boost in his drink.
So, who gets the stomach bug that Kaeley had last week? Why, me, of course!
On Thursday night Kaeley threw up yet again. That night it occurred to me that I hadn't even prayed for her! I prayed that evening that God would choose to heal her. That was the end of Kaeley's sickness. Thank You, God!
I lasted until Sunday. I began to feel a little off in the afternoon. That's beginning to happen when I don't eat enough snacks through out the day, so I grabbed some peanut butter toast. I later had a small dinner of noodles. My mom brought over some honey cookies, so I had a couple of those with a glass of milk. It was then, when it was too late to change my snack choices, that I realized with dread that this was not low blood sugar. This was a stomach bug. Well, darn. By two in the morning I had thrown-up about three or four times.
Thankfully Brad was able to take Monday off and help me with the kids. He took Kaeley to her singing recital while my mom came over to play with Nathan. I felt much better by the late afternoon. I'm so thankful for my family. Brad did the laundry, fed all of us, went to the local drug store to pick me up juices, and then my mom stayed late to help with the children.
I'm feeling back to normal this morning. I've even been able to eat normally without any consequences. I decided to stay home today just in case my stomach change it's mind. My mom called while we were eating breakfast and offered to take the kids home with her all day! How could I say no to that! Yes, I am very blessed by my family!
We'll close it with my new strategy. I get the stomach bug two or three times a year. My husband, with the poor eating habits? I can't even remember the last time I've seen him throw-up! He'll get a bad cold once a year that lasts for a couple of weeks. He says it's because his body is used to fighting off pollutants. So what am I going to do? I'm going to go grab his bag of chips and open a soda!
