Kaeley's World

Last night Brad pointed out the brightly shining moon to Kaeley. He said, "Isn't it beautiful? Aren't you so glad God made such a beautiful moon for us?" Kaeley, of course, jumped right and exclaimed with a gasp and hand motions to match, "Yes! I think he's opening it up so he can look at His quee-ation." I think Brad then wondered out loud how God could make the moon shine so bright. It made complete sense to her that God was shining a flashlight on it. That's how it shined so bright.
Who knows what goes on it that little mind of hers. We bought her a doll last month and she wasn't as enthusiastic as I thought she might have been. We've made little comments like, "Your poor doll must be so lonely sitting up in that bed of yours. Don't you think she's hungry?" She'll look at us with curiosity and amusement. "But she's not real!" This is coming from the same girl who told me her cat, Dinah (stuffed animal), gave birth to five eggs the other day.
