Sponge Boats

This morning the children made little boats of sponges, straws, and foam. They both enjoyed the task of making the little floaters. Yes, that is Nathan with a pair of scissors. Whenever I walked into the room he'd smash them into the sponge. As soon as I walked into a different room I could hear him smashing them into the table. Thank goodness that table isn't a family heirloom. It's Ikea. Kaeley was very excited about getting the boats into the tub and having a fun bath time. She even told me that Jesus was on one of the boats with his disciples Sherry, Liley, Shamma-Gee-A, and who knows who else. Well, it didn't take long for them to find more pleasure in taking apart the boats. Kaeley enjoyed blowing bubbles in the water with the straws. Nathan guzzled down gallons of bath water by sucking on the wet sponges. Yummy. I hope no one peed!
