Nine Months

Four weeks left... give or take a few days... who knows. That's okay. I don't mind being pregnant. I do, however, look forward to having my own body back. My belly is so large I can't believe I have four more weeks at least to go! Where this baby has left to go I'm just not sure. She'll have to start growing out towards my back, because I don't think my belly can stretch any longer without having tears right down the middle.
My lovely husband has become my partner in the house work. He has been doing the laundry for me. I fold it, but he does all the hauling up and down the stairs for me. He unloads the car of groceries for me. He vacuums the house if I can't stand bending over anymore. I had been trying to do it all by myself, but finally had to give up because my back was hurting so much. There was my knight in shining armor, just waiting for instructions on how to help. That's been a huge difference in how I feel at the end of the day. Now, however, my arm muscles that haven't been used to lift anything for a couple of weeks now feel as though they're in atrophy. My legs, which used to dash me upstairs in a matter of seconds, now struggle to reach the top within five minutes.
Can you see the circles under my eyes? I think the three to four bathroom trips in the middle each night are catching up with me.
I'm currently reading Gone With the Wind, and I laughed the other day reading about how Scarlett knew the precious technique of walking pigeon-toed in order to force her hoops move to and fro. Well, while walking one day this week I realized I had a natural way of walking now that makes my belly sway from the left to the right with every step. Does that count? Is that the same? I guess not. Scarlett's way of walking is to attract men to their hips. I currently have no hips.
At this point, while I'm enjoying a normal and fairly easy pregnancy my mind has reached that unexplainable and odd declaration that shouts, "Labor? Bring it on!"
