Santa Ana Zoo

The Santa Ana Zoo is my favorite zoo. It's small and completely flat. The only down side is that it's about thirty miles away from home. After Kaeley's morning swimming class we started off for our mini adventure. Kaeley seemed to like everything. I couldn't figure out if Nathan liked the monkeys or not. He would stand there yelling at me with a face full of concern. Then he would laugh. Then he would almost cry. It was as if these little people with fur all over their bodies scared him. If it could happen to them it could happen to him, right? Thanks to the animal show we watched Kaeley now wants an African hedgehog as a pet. Nathan's favorite animal was the owl! He loves birds. We came home so filthy that everyone needed to take a bath and change clothes! Let's just say that I dressed Nathan in bright white socks and then wondered if they didn't quite match is outfit. By the time we came home his socks were beige and matched his brown shoes.
The children fell asleep in the car, and wouldn't take a nap when we got home. They were so tired! I heard whining and arguing from Kaeley and Nathan ran all over the house looking for things to destroy. I fed them before Brad came home, so I could get them to bed early. I ate a later dinner while they were watching television and finally had to escape from Nathan. Brad came home to find me hiding in our bedroom with my dinner.

Glad they had fun!
