Today we joined my dear friend, Christy, and two of her four children at the Santa Ana Zoo today. I love this little zoo. There is a row of monkeys, a few birds, a few barn animals, a playground, over-priced train ride, and beautiful gardens. You've got yourself a little zoo.
I was supposed to meet her around 10:00am. Thanks to not taking the clock seriously, a screaming baby, and a boy who was getting into everything I finally drove up to the zoo parking around 10:30am. How embarrassing. I hate being late!
We had a good time. Kaeley was more into picking up dead leaves, forgotten branches, and rotten berries from the ground than she was about finding the monkeys. Noah was very focused in on finding the playground again and playing there. Both children were finally in heaven where they could make "apple pies" in the sand and play on the slides. They played there for an hour or two, I think.
I got on the road again by 2:30pm! That was a super long day for us! The amazing part of the day was that I told the two children to play in the bedroom while I fed Alynna (and enjoyed vegging in front of the television). When I went to get them out about half an hour later they were having a good time destroying the room, so they declined leaving and played by themselves for another hour! I was amazed and very thankful!
Please the enjoy the "pig-in-a-blanket" picture. I took especially for all of you!
