Nathan's Special Day

Here are pictures of Nathan's special birthday. He was so cute getting all that attention and not knowing what it meant. People would tell him happy birthday and he would throw his arms in the air and yell, "Yay!" He's also gotten very good at saying thank you after given things or compliments, so he would also say, "Me! Tank gook." So stinkin' cute!
We went to Toys R Us to buy him a couple of new trains for his track. I was almost suckered into buying the Thomas the Tank Engine trains which range $11.99 to $21.99 a piece until I turned around and found the off brand, which is what we had at home anyway. We bought a little playmat that zips up into a bag and came with tracks and a train for $19.99 and a three piece train for $11.99. So ha! Take that, Thomas! Nathan was thrilled with his selection.
We ate a yummy lunch at McDonalds. For the first time I ordered apples with their meal and I was shocked that no one even asked where the fries were! While there I ran into a former coworker of mine and a high school teacher! I got the nerve to approach the teach just to find out he didn't even remember me. I felt rather silly and kind of dejected once I realized I hadn't left all that of an impression on him, but oh well, so goes life.
Kaeley found some friends to play with while we were there. It was funny to listen to them in the tunnels. She found an only child to play with. It was hilarious listening to this only-child and my typical firstborn playing together. Follow me. No, follow me! Follow me. Okay I'll follow you and then you follow me.
At night time Kaeley made Nathan a birthday cake. He really liked that, as you can imagine, but was very disappointed when it all disappeared somewhere. He just couldn't quite figure out what happened to it all and why Sister wouldn't forfeit her piece for his sake.
He picked out some tattoos, which he loves applying, so we once again have a superhero plastered across his forehead. He walked around on the clouds for a while, would point to his head, scrunch up his face, and say, "A-too."
