I don't fool around on St. Patrick's Day. We decorate with shamrocks, I force the children to dress in green, and I make our dinner green. Here is our account of yesterday: I once again finally made it out to a local gem that I've never been to before. This was the South Bay Botanical Gardens. It's about ten minutes from our house, 82 acres of gardens, and $50.00 for family membership, which includes a once a month preschool program. Guess who's getting a membership next month? I know, I have a fetish with annual passes. We went there in the morning and wouldn't you know my camera battery ran out, so I couldn't take pictures. The kids had a blast! They played with turtles, I know they're going to die of salmonella, Nathan chased squirrels, which he calls "mouse", and found secret tunnels through trees. It was a fun morning.Later that day Nathan helped me make green Snickerdoodles. As you can imagine, the kitchen was a mess of flour! He had a good time though and there was no lasting damage.
For dinner we had ABC pasta, which had some green letters, I fixed peas, and the green Snickerdoodles were for dessert. Alynna, as you can see, had oatmeal. She ate about two tablespoons. Welcome to a world of mess. Oh, and under her neck... ugh..JPG)
