Disneyland
On Monday the kids and I went to Disneyland. It was in the high sixties. Maybe the low seventies. I actually wasn't expecting a large crowd, because the park was only open from 10:00am to 8:00pm. That usually gives me the impression that they aren't expecting a wild day. Well, that theory will no longer hold water in the summer months. It was crammed with people! Instead of going on rides the kids and I took the road less traveled. We played a little at the Lego Store. I shopped at a store going out of business and caught some fantastic deals. We went to California Adventures and played in their Brother Bear Camp Ground, which is one of the kids' favorites. Nathan got soaking wet in the little puddle they have there, so I took the opportunity to see if he would like the jumping fountains that are on the other side of the park. To my great surprise it was actually Kaeley who had a blast at the fountains. Nathan got a little wet, but it was Kaeley who tried sitting on the fountains! That isn't her! I was pleasantly surprised. She was soaking wet by the time we left and begging to come back tomorrow. We're going back on Friday for the fountains alone if it's not freezing. Then I believe we will sadly close the book to Disneyland for the summer. Me waiting in line with three children, one of who likes to invite himself into other families, does not work. My limit is fifteen minutes for a ride. We'll look forward to September when everyone is back in school. That really is the best time of the year. :)
