Making Jelly Rolls

My mom and Kaeley attend a cooking class every Thursday. The very first class Kaeley learned how to make jelly rolls, which is a piece of crustless bread with peanut butter and jelly rolled up and sliced into three rolls. She hasn't stopped talking about it since! She kept talking about how she was going to make them for our upcoming Easter potluck. However, that was not on my plan. I finally told her that we were going to have to wait for a different time to make them. Well, she burst into tears. I admit it, I cracked. I could just see her disappointment that she couldn't make her masterpiece and impress people's socks off.
Today she made them. She did them all by herself. She did a great job. She had a pretty heavy hand with the jelly. After she was all done she went into the bathroom to clean up. I went in there a little while later and notice what I thought was spattering of blood in the trash can. I thought Brad might have had a bloody nose and hadn't told me. Then there was a couple of drops on the roll of toilet paper. Then I noticed a big drop on the cabinet. I thought, "What? Did someone practically bleed to death without me knowing?" It turned out to be jelly.
