Seaside Lagoon

It's that time of the year again: Seaside Lagoon! Okay, well, I only go once a year, but anyway, at least it's warm enough for us to go. It was very gray in the morning, so the park was so empty I thought it was closed when I drove up to the parking lot. The kids had a good time piling mud onto of mud. That's basically all they did. Nathan liked climbing onto a platform with a fountain in the water. That was cute to see his courage. He also liked bringing handfuls of sand into my picnic area and getting sand all in the food. Argh. I hate the sandy parts of beach... that's why I prefer forests any day. I tried hard to leave all the sand at the park by shaking out towels and swim suits and clothes, and emptying out baskets and bags, but I still brought home tons.
