Adventure? Yes.

The sun shining, the birds were twittering, and I was in the house with the family on Saturday morning. All was quiet. Suddenly I was hit with the "adventure" bug. I felt like being out and about with the family. Sigh. Sometimes I don't make very wise decisions, but what can ya do? How was I to know?
I had coupons to the Coldstone Creamery in Long Beach. We have passes to the near-by aquarium, so I confirmed with Brad and we agreed to eat lunch out in that area.
We drive up to the parking structure and after a few minutes of fumbling about I realized that I had forgotten my parking pass back at home. I hate spending money on something I didn't have to. Seven dollars later we were parked on the top level due to traffic. Pull yourself together I thought. Have fun with it and they'll have fun too. It was time to find a spot for lunch. As it happened there was a large convention happening that weekend, so all the eating spots were teaming with people! We stopped in an affordable Mexican joint, but it was so packed with people that the line was in a stand still. Sigh. We left the line and walked to Chili's. All I really wanted was a cheap hot dog by the ocean side. Sighing again. It's the board walk, so there was nothing really cheap out there. That's how we ended up at Chili's. By this time Alynna was hungry and kept herself busy by letting loose loud yells in the restaurant. Two kids meal two entrees and one drink later I had spent $30.00 on lunch for the family. Not to mention $7.00 for the stupid parking.
Well, long story short I've decided to decrease these "relaxing" meals out with family. It's easier many times to just stay home! Ridiculous!
Was it an adventure? Yes. Was it fun. No.
