The Coat is Only the Beginning

When I was a young teen my dad introduced me to the world of musicals. My favorite obsession was Andrew Lloyd Weber. I now haven't listened to musical in years. Yesterday Kaeley watched the movie "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dream Coat" for the first time. I warned her that this was a true Bible story written by a non-believer, so his interpretation of the story was sometimes skewed.
We sure had a fun time watching it last night though. We all laughed at the go-go dancers cheering Joseph on in the jail. I had never seen the movie, so seeing the weird images that went along with the music I'd known inside and out for many years was surprising.
Anyway, she sat through a musical and now all I can think of is... what next? Sound of Music is a must, because she's learning about life in the times of World War II. All of the Rogers and Hammerstein. Sigh. The possibilities. :)
