Here we are at Disneyland on our first day of school! Why? Because we're homeschooling and we can! However, Kaeley did not understand this. You would have thought we were punishing the child! She was so confused as to when Academy Day with our umbrella school was and is and what school is and what homeschooling is that she was very disappointed she wasn't doing any school work any kind on her first day of homeschool. Well, I was able to pacify her by ripping out some work pages she could do on the way to Disneyland. Who would have thought.
So, real quick before my kids starve to death or think that I've abandoned them:
If you see any pictures of Nathan with a weird thing on his head it's a band aid. The day before he bumped his head while playing and insisted on a band aid. I was able to rip it off later in the day, but he would clutch his head tightly when anyone came too close to his scalp.
This was the first time he was able to ride the Madderhorn! Kaeley, Nathan, and I rode it. He didn't smile or laugh during the duration of the ride, but he did keep his hands in the air, was smiling while he walked away, and went on it again with Brad, so I guess he liked it.
We had a fantastic time yesterday and were all sufficiently tuckered out at the end of the day. But the weather was great and the crowds were few. It can't get any better than that!
Okay, now to feed the crying babies. And today I have to start school for sure other wise I'll break my poor daughter's spirit. Don't worry, Kaeley! We have plenty of stuff to learn!
