As Iron Sharpens Iron

As many of you know, Brad and I are huge fans of the Food Network. When Kaeley was three years old she didn't know who Cookie Monster was, but she knew Emeril Lagasse, or, as she called him, Emanal. Yesterday the kids and I were making apple sauce. Since Nathan used to (we baby proofed the inside door knob of his room and it's been working like a charm!) sneak out and cut things on his own accord I decided to just give him a small knife to help cut apples. I was right there with a very watchful eye. He and Kaeley were cutting the slices of apples I gave them when Kaeley asked Nathan if he wanted to play "Iron Chef". He, of course, said yes. So she tried to cut a little faster and then said, "One quarter has elapsed." If you haven't see "Iron Chef" you're probably a little baffled. :)
Then we dressed them up in their costumes and went to a Halloween Party with their friends. We all had a wonderful time and needed a nap when we came home later that afternoon.
