Pilates

Okay, my stomach is no longer rebelling, so I can post.
Yesterday we started our normal life without Daddy back at work. I wasn't looking forward to the day, because it's hard to go back to normal after two weeks of being spoiled with Brad's presence. He was great help and great company. However, Monday went very well. We fell right back into the routine of things and I instantly felt like Lady of the House again.
We did a lot of school, which went well, and then walked to the local park. The park turned out to be a lot of fun for everyone, because one of our acquaintances from church happened to be there, so playmates were there for everyone, including me.
So, the day went on and on and I began running out of ideas to fill our time with proactive activities for the family. I gave each of the kids a resistance band and turned on my dust-covered Pilate's DVD. It was hilarious. I wish I could have taped us doing Pilate's. I did my best to exercise in a smallish living room with three children in my way. I even tried doing sit-ups with a baby sitting on my chest. Needless to say, I don't feel very toned. My arms got quite a work-out though. So, there I was, doing my best. Kaeley did all of the workouts wrong... just plain wrong... but she had a blast! She stayed for the entire DVD and kept commenting on how strong she was or how strong she was getting. She huffed and puffed with the best of them. Then there was Nathan. He went in and out for part of the movie. My favorite part was the time we were all supposed to sit on our rears, legs extended, and then slowly lay back. I mean slowly, vertebra by vertebra. Kaeley and I weren't experts, but then there was Nathan, who would sit on his bottom, legs extended, and then there was always the crash of him falling back on the floor and his legs flying into the air. Alynna wasn't impressed with our intention of getting healthy. She tottered around, ran off with resistance bands, and tried sitting on my face.
