In my former post I mentioned that Alynna's favorite phrase is, "Uh uh!" Kaeley's is probably equally as whiny with, "But, Moooooom!" I kid you not. Then there's Nathan. He has several in his favorites list since he talks so much. His include, "Why?", "Why dat mean?" and, "My tummy hurt!" He says his tummy hurts, or hoirts if we're really lucky, to express feeling hunger, feeling full, when his stomach actually does hurt, or just to pass the time.
This morning I was going to brush his teeth.
"No brush my teeth. Dat make my tummy hoirt."
"Oh, Nathan, it does not."
"Yes, it do make my tummy hoirt! My tummy hoirt, because it dark outside."
I laughed and informed him that it was 8:45am in the morning and the sun was out bright and strong.
"Oh. Dat DO make my tummy feel NICE!"
Yeah, that's what I thought.
"Dat make my tummy feel nice. And cold."
"Uh huh."
"And hot. And cold."
"Uh huh. Let's brush your teeth."
"And... hot."
