Kaeley's Dreams Come True

June 4, 2010 ~ Jaclyn Gallegos became Jaclyn Ettinger. We were thrilled to be apart of their celebration. Kaeley had been counting down to this event for several weeks now and finally the day had come! Kaeley and I showed up early to take pictures, and, wow, did Kaeley enjoy that! She loves being a girl and enjoying the finer things of life, like fancy dresses made especially by Grandma, colorful flowers, and being adored and admired. The younger flower girl really liked Kaeley, the bridesmaids gushed over well-behaved she was, and the photographer was taking pictures. What else could happen in a young girl's life? Yes, she was in heaven.
Kaeley and I even had the honor of driving the bride to the wedding location, so Kaeley was bursting with all these dreams that had come true for her.
She did a fantastic job sprinkling flowers down the wedding aisle. The other flower girl, who was three years old, was a riot! While Kaeley patiently stood at attention, the little girl kept leaving the bridesmaids to go back from more flower petals. She would walk right across the happy couple exchanging marriage vows, take up big handfuls of petals from the floor, and stuff them back into her flower bag. She did this several different times.
After the wedding came Kaeley's favorite part... the "recession". She and I danced the night away! She didn't dance with me for more than five minutes. She was more interested in dancing with the five year old ring bearer. She pretty much led him to where he needed to be, swung his arms around so she could twirl underneath them, spin off with out him, and then return with a flourish. Then the child started leading the two of them where ever the cameras were! There were a couple of times I had to lead her off to the side so the bride could be filmed.
I got choked up a couple of times knowing that in a blink of an eye Kaeley will be walking down the aisle in a white dress again. And this time for good. I told Kaeley and I wasn't looking forward to losing her, and she assured me that I have a long time to lose her. :)
