Los Angeles Zoo

Today we went to the Los Angeles Zoo. I was more in the mood to do the smaller and flatter Santa Ana Zoo, but the kids were set on the big and familiar zoo. They didn't want to see monkeys and birds. They wanted to see lions, elephants, and giraffes. Talk about noisy! Forget the hooting monkeys and the screeching birds... I had Nathan chattering away in his whiny voice, which I kept trying to correct. I kid you not, I had to tell him over and over that my name was "mommy", not, "maw-mmmeeee". Then Kaeley was the self-imposed tour guide for many cages. There was so much talking! But anyway, we did it! We were there for a couple of hours. While walking back to the car Nathan once again whined, "Maw-mmmeeee, why the birds are not thaaaarrre?" "I don't know, Nathan." "Maw-mmmeeee, why you not nooooo?"
Within minutes of us being in the car he was out. That explains a lot. Well, it might explain some of it.
