Kidspace
Fridays for this particular homeschooling family are currently "free days". We do no school. We clean, relax, go to the park with friends for hours, etc. Kaeley already had a light week for school, but she was hooting and hollering on Thursday night because, "No school!" Have no fear. We were going to Kidspace the next day, and only the moms need to know it's a science museum for kids. Kaeley brought in some pinecones and a rock she swore was a meteoroid. Meteoroid... pumice stone... whatever. In the museum you can bring in nature items, research it, and then you can trade in your earned points for fancier nature items. So here was Kaeley doing "no schoolwork" and copying sentences about pinecones for her report. Priceless. Another priceless moment was seeing a large group of school kids, who weren't allowed to get wet, watching Nathan play in the cool water on a hot day.
