Cow Appreciation - Nathan Still Likes Hamburgers

Today was "Cow Appreciation Day" at Chick-fil-a. Whoever dressed up as a cow got a free meal. The company made it pretty easy by allowing you to print pieces of cows off their website, so that's what we did. The kids were good sports. I was almost expecting Kaeley to refuse to be so silly in public, but she did it! I didn't take a picture, but even I dressed up. I was "Mommy Cow". We all got a free meal and ate to our heart's delight. Then we walked very slowly to the used bookstore and found two of Kaeley's schoolbooks for next year. We slowly walked back. Why so slowly? Alynna had some super cute shoes on that Brad and I bought her from Target last night. They were $3.74, but they're wedge shoes and not very easy to walk in. Duh. Also, I had three children who would some how escape from the side of the stroller and start walking in the middle of the aisles. I had to keep bringing them back so we wouldn't completely block the walk ways. AND all four children received balloons from Chick-fil-a. Sigh. Balloons are so much fun for kids. What a nuisance for parents who are trying to walk. Can you see the picture of the three yellow balloons? I'm surprised I didn't knock into anyone myself.
After that we walked to Pat & Oscar's where I redeemed a coupon for a free birthday cookie. It was so rich the kids enjoyed a few bites and then were done. Good! Because I was done too! It's a bit of work keeping tabs on three children who like to do what they feel is best at the moment.
And the quote of the day: I told the kids we were walking to Bath & Body Works first. Nathan, in true Nathan style, looked up at me in shock and yelled, "We are going to Bathroom Potty Works?!?"
