Simon is Four Months Old

Bonus Baby turned four months old yesterday. He still has a precious, laid-back personality. I just adore him. I don't really adore that he regularly wakes up at 5:30am for an early morning feeding. This completely destroys my ability to get up at 6:00am to get chores done without the children, because I'm too exhausted to get out of bed. As mentioned before, the story is that he can roll over, but I have yet to see it. He likes playing on the floor with his toys. Well, he enjoys it for a time and then becomes very stressed out by all the noise and colors in his face. That's when someone has to rescue him from himself and grab the toy out of his hand before he starts screaming. :) This is a fun age. It warms my heart to see him reaching for anything within two feet of his face. And it just melts me to the core to hear his priceless baby giggle. Kaeley is the best at getting a belly laugh out of him. The other day she was playing with Simon in her bedroom. She brought him out to me to show me her new trick. She could make a noise at him and he'd start giggling. Eventually he was in fits of laughter! Then Nathan joined in the fun. The laughter continued for a while, then started sounding more like a squeal, and soon he would yell. I could tell things were about to go downhill quickly, so I called off the kids, nursed the baby, and he was asleep within minutes. He had to regroup after all that excitement.
