Christmas Eve Party

This year we hosted our first ever Christmas Eve party! We had 23 people, including us and babies, in our apartment. It was the most we've ever hosted. What fun we had! Here's our spread. This doesn't include dishes that others brought like tamales, cookies, and potato pancakes. I have a lot to learn about hosting parties, because we had a lot of leftovers.
Just a little rearranging of furniture and we had room to move around.

The Saavedra and Meza girls.

It was a great honor to have two neighbors and two church families and in-laws all come to the party!

The three church men read aloud from Luke.

While the men read the children ran around, Simon picked at his belly button, and Kaeley played "Away in a Manger" very quietly for atmosphere.

Here the kids play "Pin the Star on the Christmas Tree". This was one of three games. My personal favorite was handing out Bingo cards and learning our Middle Eastern friends had no idea how to play Bingo. :)

The kids at the party. Great fun!

I think this might just become a yearly tradition for us!
