Today the kids and I went to a friend's pool for a weekly pool party. Last week I got in the water, but this week it just seemed like such an easy task to sit by the pool side to talk with the other moms. However, I spent my day chasing after Nathan who would totter his way to the deep end, turn around, and start climbing into the pool! He tried that three times before I just decided I needed to follow him all over the place. Later I crouched by the steps as he waded up and down. He would climb onto the first step, then the second step, and then fight off my hands as he went towards the third step, which was too deep for him. I thankfully had a friend in a bathing suit at the time who took him in the water as he was so deeply wishing. That little boy even got down to the third step enough to choke on water, but as his head came up from the "drowning" he chuckled with sheer joy.
Next week I'll be wearing the bathing suit, that's for sure!

Hehehe...water baby? I fell in LOVE with the swimsuits that have the floaty foam stuff inside of them - I don't have to worry about the kids at all while they swim here ( the pool is 42" deep ), or when we went swimming in an actual in-ground pool recently. It was awesome! You might want to try that out next year. :)
