On Saturday Kaeley, Alynna, and I went to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. First we went a bit crazy at the Dollar Tree. That was more of my treat. I didn't find everything that was on my shopping list, but goodness knows I found all other kinds of things that weren't on the list. At the movie theater we chowed down on leftover pizza, candy, popcorn, and an ICEE. It was fun to be "alone" with Kaeley. The movie was very cute. I can't say I'd see it if I didn't have children, but it was bearable. My favorite part of the movie was when the main character, a dog, appeared dead. Someone in the movie said, "She's gone." Someone from way on the other side of the movie let out a very loud gasp. I thought that was cute. Kaeley was glued to the screen at the start of the previews. She giggled at some of the jokes, especially when a pack of about a hundred chihuahuas showed up in the desert and the leader said, "Say hello to my little friends." She thought that was funny. At the end of the movie things begin turning out well for all the characters involved and there are several "tear-jerking" happy moments. At one point she just couldn't handle the emotion and excitement any more. She squealed and buried her face in my arm. Even before the end of the movie I was looking forward to our next date.
