Trick or Treat

Every year we go to my in-law's house for spaghetti and trick-or-treating. This year Kaeley was so very excited that it got Nathan all excited even while he had no idea what we were doing. I asked, "Okay, are you ready to leave?" She shouted, "Yes!" and thew her hands up in the air. Nathan had to do the same thing and shout, "Yeah!" Alynna probably wasn't all that excited, because she foresaw the abuse she would endure with floppy ears and plastic glasses. She's just too much fun to play with at this age!
This was Nathan's first trick-or-treating event. The first several houses he'd slowly follow Kaeley around and wave his little glow-in-the-dark sticks at people. He'd leave his bucket on the driveways to climb up the porch steps. It didn't take him long to realize he needed the bucket to get goodies. Later on in the evening Brad took his bucket from him in order to empty the candy into the big bag. Nathan didn't stop crying until he got his bucket back and we replaced some of the candies again.
We came home with a boat load of candy! I think the kids have had a couple. Brad and I have been enjoying. :) It's the parents' prerogative, right?

I have to ask - why on earth is Brad holding Alynna upside down? The poor darling looks like a rag doll dressed in a bunny suit! LOL

Did she survive the night??
