The Year of Celebration

Disneyland's theme of the year is "The Year of Celebration". You get in free on your birthday. If you're annual pass holder you have the option of getting a gift card of merchandise for the value of an entry ticket. It has to be used that day. We went for Kaeley's birthday, so she was able to go on a $59.00 shopping spree! She picked out three different dolls and a stuffed panda bear. In the store the cashiers handed her the phone. It was Goofy wishing her a happy birthday. She was in seventh heaven.

She is so proud to be five years old! She told anyone who would listen that today was her birthday. If they said, "Happy birthday," she was at a loss of words and would merely answer, "Happy birthday to you too."

For lunch she wanted to go to Rainforest Cafe. Hey, you don't have to twist our arm! We had a yummy, and very expensive, lunch in the "jungle".

It was fun being at Disneyland on a fairly light day, especially since the whole family was there. I have to say that having $59.00 "free" gift card didn't hurt either!
