Ah ha! Now I'm back on the job with my camera. Hurray!
So, here we are again... another month gone by!
Alynna is now eight months, and then some. She isn't quite crawling yet. She travels, but it's mostly by accident. I can't wait to see her fly around the floor.
She is now sleeping in the children's' bedroom. She'll wake up once or twice a night still, but that's so doable. I'm still looking forward to a full night's sleep, but I'll take what I can get for now. She had a great transition from our room to theirs, however, Nathan did not. He loves climbing into Alynna's crib several times a night. That sounds so cute until you realize that he can't see what's he's doing, so he ends up falling on top of her half the time, waking up an already tired baby, and thinks it's hilarious when she wakes up crying. No amount of spanks, fingers wagging, etc will stop him. However, last night I took away his pacifier and think I might have found a trigger. Tonight I just dare him to climb in there and wake her up! I just dare him! His pacifier will be gone before he can say, "Diddy!" That means "Sissy" by the way.
She's also been staying in the church nursery. She's quite the big girl.
Talking about big girls, she went right from breastmilk to salmon, potatoes, and crackers. She likes nothing mushy or pureed. She doesn't like the net that you tuck chunks of food into either. She only likes to eat things for herself, like whole prunes, popcorn, crackers, etc. OR things off a fork, like salmon, boiled potatoes, noodles, etc. The girl is a mystery. Thankfully she's my third, so while I wish she would eat "pure" foods, like apples one day and carrots the next, I figure I'll feed her whatever I can now and catch up on the healthy later on in life when she has more teeth.
