Nathan is usually in the habit of rough and tumble, biting and hitting, and all the other aggressive style "play" with the girls. I know it comes with the territory of a boy, but I do try to steer him away from the girls saying that we protect the women and are gentle with women.
Today I finally got to see him in that role and it was so cute.
Kaeley was using the bathroom. She came out with a gasp and called for Nathan. I got the impression that he had destroyed what she was playing with, but it turned out there was a bug in the bathroom. It was a tiny little thing from what I hear, but none-the-less. There was a bug. She called out for Nathan in quite a loud and deliberate voice. Nathan followed her into the bathroom with a half curious and half apathetic expression on his face. I can't even explain it, but he was cute. She showed him the bug. I was at the computer listening to all this going on. There was a short pause as he found the speck that she was talking about, and then he began slapping his naked little feet on the floor. It just now occurred to me, as I write this, that he killed the bug and I didn't even check to see if he needed his bare feet washed. Oh well. It was very cute seeing him come to his sister's rescue.
