Yesterday the kids and I had a leisurely walk through the aquarium. We actually made it through the whole thing without them losing interest. We had a picnic lunch while playing outside. The kids used to spend a long time at the touch tanks. They'd reach for sharks and sting rays and what not. Now they're more interested in the playground. It's not really a playground. There's a few big shells and crabs to climb on, a big boat, and a few buttons to press and a jet of water will be spouted out of a fish mouth or something. Alynna scooted around me, crawled to chase the pigeons, and eat her favorite fruits: grapes. They all seemed to enjoy themselves. Once I realized I was missing Nathan. I found him not only trying to touch the fishes, but to swim with them, because he was sticking his face inside the water! Then he would take handfuls of water and splash them on his face and take a couple of sips. I know. Fish poop. Yum. I'm telling you that little boy is faster than the speed of light!Alynna enjoyed the tanks up close and personal. Sometimes it seemed as though she were trying to climb into their world.
By the way, I made Kaeley's skirt. It isn't my favorite creation. I didn't follow the instructions exactly. I made it a little longer than suggested, because Kaeley likes long skirts. She also picked out the lace, because it was the longest piece of lace on sale that she could find. One day soon I'm going to make a matching Tshirt using the applique process.
