Fool Me Twice

Yep, it happened again. Why I didn't just move the ice cream sticks to a hidden spot in the freezer I'll never know. Well, honestly I just kept forgetting.
Yesterday, Saturday, I decided to sleep in. Dumb, I know. At seven o'clock, or somewhere near by, I heard some noise, decided to ignore it. It was probably Kaeley going into Nathan's room, right? Wrong. It was Nathan.
That morning I found an apple with a bite taken out of it, an ice cream wrapper on the floor of his bed ladder, kitchen sheers in his bed, and ice cream drips all over his newly changed bedding. Argh!
It reminded me of the very wise saying, "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." The ice cream, all one that was left, is now moved to the absolute back of the freezer.
Now it's either don't sleep in until the children are eighteen years old or install one of those great retail front fences that roll down at close and open in the morning. I like the idea of a cage. It would protect that new chocolate cake from yours truly as well.
