My extra job at our co-op school is to help with set-up. I actually got there early! I felt vindicated and redeemed and responsible! It felt great! The kids and I helped with set-up.
Assembly went well, but it was a lot of jiggling and appeasing the two younger ones. Kaeley, however, was allowed to stand up on stage with her friend and help with worship, so she was in... um, heaven... excuse the pun.
We all split up into our regular classes. Well, the nursery was closed due to so many workers being sick, so Alynna was with me. She was a good girl and enjoyed her mommy-time. I enjoyed my time off. The second hour is my cooking class. I strapped Alynna to my back while I began my class. She was asleep within minutes! My class went well. The only complaint I have of the day is my dry cough. It's so irritating. I could probably sit in a corner and cough for five to ten minutes straight. But class went well, so I'll be thankful.
After Academy we went to the near by thrift store for a button-up shirt for Nathan. Wait until you see the tie I made for Nathan. It was well worth the price of this button-up shirt in order to wear it this Sunday.
Then we took our picnic lunch to the park many of the homeschooling Academy families meet at on Fridays. We arrived at the park at 1:00pm. The kids all played hard. Me? I just talked a lot with the moms around me. Actually it was an easy park day, because there are many older girls who go to the park with their families. Good for me that they like hanging out with the little kids, so a couple of them played with Alynna and one of the girls helped Nathan onto the swing. It was lovely.
After a while Nathan began to whine and bit more. After a while he couldn't speak to me without almost breaking into tears. He said he was ready to go home. He told me he was tired. When I told the women around me that he was tired Nathan insisted that he was not tired and he that he hates bed!
I finally peeled ourselves away from the park at almost 3:00pm! The two older kids did not take a nap that lasted longer than twenty minutes, so that means early bedtime. Alynna will have to be woken up. It all works out.
It was a good day. Next time I'll have to remember to have a crock pot dinner so I don't have to worry about planning and making dinner after such a long day.
