Date at the Mall

Thursday night the kids and I met Brad at the mall for dinner. I had several coupons to redeem at different stores. The kids were done shopping after the first store, so I let them play on the little ride-about toys. They had a very good time imagining that I was one of those moms that actually give up their quarters for rides. Are you kidding? Quarters are precious when you do laundry at the pay-machines.
I finally had to bribe them with cookies to keep going through the store. I was looking for a tuxedo for Nathan, so there was nothing fun about this trip for them, and I knew that. After the bribe for cookies ran out I had to break again and give them my iPod to play with while at Bath & Body Works. It worked quite well. Thank goodness!
One of my coupons was for a free small milkshake from Chick-fil-A. I had intended to bring it home and share it with Brad after the kids were in home. Wouldn't you know it that it made it all the way home, into the fridge, and within ten minutes of it being there I accidentally knocked it over and it fell to the floor. Sigh. I should have expected it. I had mopped the floor earlier that day. I spent about ten minutes kneeling on the floor with a baster. I think I got a little more than half of it back into the cup. Are you surprised that I wouldn't just mop it up? You obviously don't know me very well.
