I personally think it was a big conspiracy. Just the day before she and her husband had renewed their Disneyland passes. Well, guess where we ended up going? And you see, I think I have the only daughter who will cry when the nature center is cancelled and she's forced to go to Disneyland.
Plans were made, school was finished, I threw everyone into the car, and we headed out for the freeway. Long story short, who should I find myself sharing a freeway with but our neighbors, cousins, and friends... Katie and Morgan Saavedra! Turns out they were going to Disneyland too!
Kaeley was thrilled! She had found a dime in the parking lot that morning and now Morgan just happened to be going to Disneyland, too? It was just all too much!
The kids had a great time playing with their friends and the moms, well, we all had a work out keeping up with eight children. It was a very special time together.
On the way out of the park I succumbed to a sweet tooth and spent a large amount of money on four little treats for us and a soda for me. I let the kids watch the classic cartoons in the theater before we left the park for good. I imagined a cute picture of the three of them smiling happily through chocolate. I still think the picture is cute, but you can tell everyone is watching the cartoons.
