Halloween Traditions Continue

Every year when pumpkins are found in the produce section and neighbors begin decorating with angry monsters and ghosts made out of sheets there are two major concerns among the children. One: what are they going to dress up as. Two: is Grandma making spaghetti?
Kaeley's very first Halloween money was tight. Brad's mom, Susan, offered to buy Kaeley's costume. We went to her house for dinner with a beautiful Tinkerbell in toe. What fun memories of knock on people's doors and telling Kaeley they weren't inviting her in to their house. Spaghetti was the dinner. A couple of spaghetti dinners later we were out with Nathan dressed up. We would remind the little guy to say thank you. He would walk off saying, "Da!" Very fun memories.
This year was no different. Here's Kaeley with one of her favorite dishes of all time.

I forgot the real camera. This is what you get with a dim living room and an iPod. We were barely able to have a theme this year due to indecisiveness from children and disagreements. Here it finally is: BIRDS! Nathan and Simon are Angry Birds. Kaeley is a peacock. Alynna is a scarlet macaw. The picture doesn't give the costumes justice. They weren't anything super fabulous, but the kids were very cute.

Two hours later the kids were waiting for the candy to be deemed safe by Daddy and Grandpa. Two weeks later there will be NO candy deemed edible by Daddy and Mommy, but I'll blame it all on Daddy.
