Decorating Sugar Cookies

My children have a favorite babysitter that up and left us for college. Her mother is also my mentor mom at church and I love her too! Since our favorite babysitter was on Christmas break they invited us over for lunch. We had a wonderful time chatting and laughing and eating scrumptious grilled cheese sandwiches.
After lunch they surprised the kids with sugar cookies that needed decorating!
I know it's hard to see, but maybe if you get your magnifying glass out you might be able to spot the sugar cookie under the pile of icing. Alynna used just about the entire piping bag of icing on one cookie and then took two bites of icing from the bag itself. I mean, her teeth your pink!
The detox diet starts January 1st!

Kaeley took her job of decorating very seriously. In this picture she's watching how her favorite college student decorates snowmen and then tries to replicate it herself.

While Alynna drenched a cookie in icing, her younger brother drenched his in sprinkles.

Take solace in the fact that Simon only picked at the icing on this cupcake. Ugh... my poor children's insides.

The children have been living on food coloring and sugar and fast food quite a bit this holiday season, but I can tell you for sure that they're building relationships with friends and family members, making memories that will last... at least will hopefully last... for a lifetime, and we're having a fantastic Christmas season!
