Legoland

We went to Legoland as a family the day after Thanksgiving. It was raining. It was interesting.
We went to Legoland as a family the day after Christmas and we have decided it is better to go when it's raining.
Last Thursday we went again and brought Grandma with us. It was lovely! It was practically empty and we got to ride some rides that were new to us.
This is a ride that we've always wanted to try, but the line is always over an hour. That's a bit inhibitive. We rode it for the first time on this very empty Thursday and while the ride was cute we did wonder what the big hooplah was all about. Simon was very happy to have his "ba-ma" with him.
Alynna was also a happy girl, because she was able to ride her favorite ride... the horses.

Though we've stared at the Star Wars Legos multiple times now, possibly spending more time here than any where else in the park, we had to show Grandma the sights and Simon soaked in all the sights and sounds again of his favorite movie of all time.

When Kaeley called this little creature a wookie (speaking of the lego creature, not the girl in a red shirt a creature) we almost disowned her. Alynna calls them "teddy bears" and that is acceptable.
I believe traveling is one of the best teachers. Well, we saw Mount Rushmore, New York City, Las Vegas, and much more in one day. My, aren't we smart now?
And it's so funny that we have been to this area several times now and our children were still oohing and ahhing over things they had never realized or noticed before. It was almost humorous. That is, however, until I turned around and screamed, "It's a farm!" I had walked into that particular area of Legoland before and sighed in deeply when I saw the little Lego tractors harvesting crops and Lego cows grazing in fields. Farmers, farmers wives, children climbing in the barn. Ah... my people.
