Life is good. I love our new home! Having some extra, well, a lot extra, elbow room is just fantastic! White wall space between furniture is a new thing for me and I'm lovin' it!
Another thing is the park that's below us. The pictures show the park that is on the floor just below our front door. It's just a simple "old school" play ground with a slide, swings, and a jungle gym. Boy, the kids love it! There are many kids back here in this particular building, so they all get together in the late afternoon. There's always a couple of kids digging a hole in the same area of the sand box, a couple playing Dodgeball against the wall, and many go back and forth in their imaginations. Last night Kaeley and Nathan played for almost two hours! They came back up dirty and tired. Oh, they had so much fun though! Kaeley was a princess, a peasant girl getting water for her evil mother (played by Riley, not me for once), and a girl in distress trying not to fall down the water fall (the slide).
I love knowing that the kids are building their memories within these precious summer evenings.
Today they played for a mere fifteen minutes before lunch time. Kaeley came home with a shoe full of sand and dirty hands. Nathan came home with sand all over his clothes and his face and his hands. I actually had to change his clothes! I love it! Dirty kids equal kids who are having fun!
