Here's a few pictures of our fair extravaganza! Alynna and Nathan seemed to like the animals the best. It was hard keeping up with Nathan in the farming area. Alynna was very intrigued. Kaeley said her favorite part was a little bit of everything, but I think she must have liked the carnival rides the best. We visited the children's building, which had a little bit of everything for kids. It was fantastic! There were books to read and take home for free, blocks, hammers, sand, and all other kids of things. We were probably in there for a good hour! As you can see the kids got their face painted. Kaeley is a pro at this form of art, so she stood still as a statue. However, this was Nathan's first time and he couldn't stop watching the paint brush move around his face. It took three people to steady him. He was happy to get his spider though. Nathan also got a baseball hat just like Daddy. He was so cute. He'd run up to a glass exhibit and the bill of his hat would slam into the wall first. He learned it's not quite as jarring if you hold onto your hat at all times when you're running around looking at the glass show pieces. He was a handful, I tell ya! In the hobby building there were a few train tables or miniature city pieces. He would try ducking under the fence and saying, "Mine? Mine?"
It was a fun day for the family. We love our annual pictures from the fair. And just for the fun of it, we take a picture in the ice cream sign. I've attached this year's picture and a picture of Kaeley in the ice cream sign back in 2004. Sigh.
